Sales

My favorite thing is a good sale.

Yesterday, my big girl tells me, "Mom, I need bigger pants these ones are too small."

All I could think was Crap! You have only been wearing them for three months... Smiling, I tell her not a big deal and I will grab her a new pair. That meant I got to go drag my hermit of a friend out of her hole and into the world.

I hate Walmart... And that's where we headed. Doing pretty darn good we get in and find the couple other things I needed. Then we strolled over to the girls department. My absolute favorite rack? DING DING DING... The clearance rack!

Right there... Just waiting on us, was two pairs of big girl pants! I was so happy. I grabbed them up and tossed the 10 dollars worth of jeans into my buggie. Alongside, the few other items I had and trotted for the register.

Holy Moly! We made it to self check-out. We were so stinking close to being done... Till this woman, in a bright yellow smock, softly tells my hermit. All the Halloween costumes are 2 dollars and accessories are .50 cents. Hermit's big blue eyes started to glow and off she dashed to find a deal.

What a mess! They push all this crap to one side of the aisle. Women are filling buggies with new stuff (they don't need) for another year. Funny... I too find myself grabbing things left and right. Before I knew it I had 4 costumes for the girls, plus a couple wigs.

You know... This may be some sort of disease for me. (giggles - my girls are looking at me like I'm crazy, typing and laughing) I cannot pass a really good deal up, not even to save my life!

This sale at Walmart was just yesterday! You should see me at the back to school sales... I kill it! Girls are not cheap. Not in the slightest way, so clearance racks at any store can be your friend. Teach your kids to look at the clearance first... Then you can shop at the mall.

Every year we set a limit and stick to that limit. Find out when the stores in the malls are having their customer appreciation days... Normally, they will take an additional 15-20% off your total! Kohl's can be your best friend! This year alone, I bought $741.32 worth of clothes... But with my reward points, kohl's cash, and that additional 20% off store sale... I only paid $141.58 tax and all!

With just a little work, you can shop anywhere you want and get some amazing deals! Never be afraid to ask about any sale or extra deals they may be having while you're in the store... You never know until you ask the question right?

Happy shopping and saving!
