What the heck......
Every year the school asks for a list of things they need or want for the classroom to make the year go smoother. Which is great, we all know these things are coming and we'll need to get them. The things they should add to this list, because most normal people don't have them... Are tie dye shirts and crazy socks.
Then they need to make a list of all the money that will be needed and for what. So we, as parents, can just hand over our wallets and walk away.
Let's ask next, what are crazy socks? When I buy socks they don't come with one pair of odd looking socks... That, mind you, they only wear one time... So where do we buy this one odd pair? I'm not going to say that almost everything anymore isn't odd, but really I need silly socks.
Please, let the rest of the year go by with no more odd articles of clothing to find... I had to buy P.J's the other day and I couldn't find any tie dye for today or tomorrow... We will see about the socks.
Wish me luck!
Now my youngest came in yesterday to tell me that she needed a couple dollars for a Halloween pizza party. Not a big deal, but to be honest it seems to always be something...
They always need money for something new! This week its spook-o-grams for friends and last week it was beef jerky. I know it's all fundraising for the school. I just had to send stuff to school for a basket they are putting together for some kind of fall carnival...
More money! That is also when I found the bows from my other post on sale... That was its own kind of headache.
Some parents can't afford to spend money like this... Yet, the school sends them home at least once a week begging for this or that. Kids don't and shouldn't ever understand that their parents may or may not be able to afford all of these extra costs.
Some days the cost of things are too high. I never mind helping out, but they need to slow down... The holidays are closing in on us and fast.
Well, good luck to all you parents and your wallets as this school year goes on! Hope nobody else has trouble with finding the extra clothing items that should have been on our school supply list...
