Cable Companies

Good heavens.......

My bill keeps going up, but they never give me anything new! They never say, here for your rapidly increasing debt... Have a channel or two. I don't ever get anything more from them.

On top of that, you receive 50 channels and only watch about 5... Can anyone tell me, why we need eight home shopping channels? Does anyone even buy off of the shopping channels anymore?

How about any of the other pointless crap on cable TV?

We will talk about the kids shows on cable in a few moments... But first, what the hell is wrong with Cox, Dish, even Direct TV! You have to call, yell, and threaten to cancel your service with them just for them to lower the bill.

WHY! If they want to up the bill when new people sign on, there you go. Leave everyone else alone! That makes to much common sense, I guess...

With new services like Netflix and Hulu, cable companies are going to go out just like VHS tapes and landlines. They won't change for the people, only for themselves.

Greedy...

As parents, you should be tracking what your kids are watching. It's awful crap! No wonder little girls are acting like teenagers... I almost want to say that neglectful parenting is to blame for teen pregnancy.

Nowadays, you set your child in front of that noise-box and walk away to do your own thing and be alone. Most say it's because they are stressed or tired... Again, I just don't buy it.

Parent's are just too self-involved anymore... I know it feels like a redundant, but watching people and their kids makes me so sad. I see mom's and dad's not paying attention to their kids. They are texting or fighting about some nonsense. Never noticing how their behavior is affecting their kids' attitude.

I know this is not only the cable companies fault, but maybe if each of us cut service and stopped letting them take advantage of us. We could change the way they do business. I know that most will keep on a going, paying your high cable bills just to watch a couple channels.

It makes me feel better to vent about them. Yes! For those of you who are wondering... I will be cutting my cable off in July... At the end of my two-year contract.

Thanks again for listening!
