It's hard business...
My dear friend is moving and oh dear, this is hard work. She is a bit of a hoarder. I love teasing her, that one day I will have to come and remove her dead cats and newspapers to get to her. Poor girl just looks at me and shakes her head. You just got to love her...
She is so tired from moving all of the heavy furniture. I will tell you one thing about this woman... She is one of the strongest women I know! She has had to let go of memories, things people normally keep till death do them part (if you know what I mean).
This amazing woman just started a new chapter in her life. A new job, which she loves. Meeting new friends and sorting through the old ones. She needs supportive, stable people to help get her through these lonely times. Now that she's lost 160lbs, she looks so good.
I hope that I have explained to you, my faithful readers, just how incredible my friend is... If not you will know by the end of this post.
Going through this with her has me feeling closer to her. It's made our friendship stronger, which pleases me greatly. Being with her during this transition period in her life has been one of the most challenging and satisfying experiences.
Well... Challenging for her. It's hard for anyone to let go of the past, especially so for my friend. Her emotions are strong. People assume she's bipolar, but that's not the case... She loved a man for two years who couldn't reciprocate even a portion of her feelings.
He has lost one of the most fabulous and breath-taking women I know. Oh well, his loss! My friend will not only do better next time, but she's already doing mighty fine. Dispelling all the negative baggage from her life. Plus, I will have first seat at the judging table next time, so we don't go through this again.
This has been gratifying for me because I get to help one of the most kindhearted people I've ever met. I don't have many women friends.... Women are nuts and full of drama, so I leave them alone.
Now, let's talk about my sweet crazy friend... Who saves everything!... Please, never fart in a can and give it to her she will save it.
Bras, oh my. If you ever die and come back as a pair of boobs, you don't have to worry. You will have a stylish, padded home to live in. She must have about fifty different ones that she's held onto for years! They're all very pretty, don't get me wrong, but I think my friend might be a closet hoarder...
Books are a whole nother area... Dear Almighty God in heaven, this woman has stacks and stacks of books and movies. My favorite find of today was a box full of pens. Who on earth keeps a full box of pens? She's not even sure if they work!
I'm not worried, though. I have a plan, an evil plan, but a plan nonetheless. She has given me the all-clear to put her new house together, but first, we're cleaning out the old. I know she's going to love having all new things to start this next chapter of her life. I truly believe she will be happy when all is said and done.
Plus, we have donated or trashed all her bad memories. Contributing her donations to charity not only helps her but gives her the chance to help others and for that, I am very proud of her! I love donating things my family and I don't use or need.
We still have some cleaning to get done, but that's no biggie... It won't take us but a day to get it done. Plus, I will have a beautiful house guest for a few weeks, till we find the perfect house for her.
I must say, we do have some awesome friends! They came to our aid and moved the bigger things that we could have never moved on our own. Don't you just love having those kinds of friends. Friends who will come to your rescue when you ask.
Lesson today boys and girls, surround yourself with good friends no matter how many. My dad always said, you will know hundreds of people over your lifetime that you will call friend, but in this life, you will only have five true friends. Those are the ones that will get up at 2 am to save you... Or pull your rig out of the mudhole that you had no business playing in that late. Never do they question it, they just smile and give you shit for it.
